Munchkin Style || OOTN || Mister

Some days, Primark just gets it right. Ok, its not often and we all know how it can be a little hit and miss at times, but yesterday we found a winner in the form of this Sully from Monsters Inc onesie!

In the Hoggle household we are all secret onesie lovers and at 6 years old, Mister has a growing collection. I think at this moment in time, Sully is a clear favourite.
Mister says this onesie so very soft and "snugly" and he likes the sticky feet as it means he wont fall over. Seeing as we have carpet I'm pretty sure thats unlikely to happen, but he wanted you all to know anyway.
Another feature he likes are the spikes up the back. Very authentic Sully in my opinion!

Yesterday evening there was a race to get home and at 5pm Mister was in his new onesie and eager to get to bed and watch Monsters Inc on DVD.
I am now typing this at 10.45am and it has yet to come off. Thank goodness its half term as I'm sure he'd try to insist its appropriate school attire!

I picked this up for only £9 (absolute bargain!) in primark yesterday. The smallest size I found was 3 years and the largest 13 years. So for any last minute mum's trying to find a Halloween outfit, this could very well do the trick, it has feet but pop a pair of wellies over the top and the feet will make for the cosiest of socks!

Munchkin Crafts || Pumpkin Decorating

Last year on a local selling board, we entered Minxy and Mister into a pumpkin competition. It was aimed at children and yet as we flicked through the pictures we noticed a continuing theme. Each child had help with their carvings.
So we decided our entry would be a little different.
Instead of actually carving the pumpkin, we let the munchkins loose with the contents of their craft box.
This was the end result...

(Apologies for the poor quality but I had to pull this off of Facebook)

We can say very proudly that we were completely over the moon when the above won the Munchkins first prize in the competition. Everyone agreed that in a  competition for children, they were the only ones who created their designs all by themselves!
So this year we decided they could do the same. They're still too young to attack any kind of object with a sharp knife so its the safest option and they have such great fun with it!

And of course no creative session is complete without a little mess...

The pumpkins will go up on display at home for Halloween.

The following day, all pumpkins are placed on the garden table and that night the witches go from house to house collecting Halloween pumpkins to use in their magic spells...
